I have a blood clotting disorder, what's the best way for birth control other than

condoms? My blood clots easier than usual people. It doesn't affect my day to day habits, however, I can't use any form of pill birth control or any that does that trick. My husband and I use condoms, we don't desire to have children right now. I haven't been able to visit my doctor yet to ask. Anyone have any ideas?

I am in the same boat as you. I have Factor V Leiden. I am currently using contraceptive gel. The one we use isn't messy and you really can't tell it is there. Right now that is working fine, especially since I am still breast feeding. I think when my period starts up I will keep on using it and then also track my cycle. By refraining from sex on my most fertile days, that will give us even more protection from pregnancy.

Since you don't have children yet, then the diaphragm might be another good choice for you. I hear it works better on woman without kids.
