Disovable stitches im pain? I noticed that with the wound healing up that there was something like fishing line coming out my wound i went to get it off and it pulled the inside of my hand and it is very painful i rang my surgeons clinic told them that the stitches werent removed only to be told my surgeon is fully booked & to go see my gp. Saw my gp and all they did was take off the bit of stitch that was sticking up, i know the stitches are not dissovable what do i do i dont want them stuck in my hand forever and im in more pain than what i was to begin with im now regretting having the surgery done can someone give me some advice or answers on what i should do next ?

Go to the ER and then sue the guy that didn't remove them

a suture that is not removed should not cause any great problems - I have removed them a few times for people and they knew they were there as they saw the thread sticking up

you sure it wasn't just the remains of a dissolving suture that ran the length of the wound

see your GP or specialist as you need review and may need to start physiotherapy

my hubby is a massage therapy and used to treat this and he recommends massage therapy - so consider this
